LucasArts Veteran Releases New PC Adventure Game Vampyre Story

16
Developer Autumn Moon today released A Vampyre Story, a classic-style point-and-click PC adventure game created and written by former LucasArts artist Bill Tiller.

The humorous and whimsical game follows an opera singer and her mischievous bat as she come to terms with her gloomy vampiric afterlife after an untimely demise.

During his nine years at LucasArts, Tiller worked on many fondly remembered adventure games, including The Curse of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, and The Dig. He also worked on a cancelled Full Throttle sequel, Payback.

Priced at $29.99, A Vampyre Story is now available to purchase and download from GamersGate. Other "decent" download services should get the game soon, according to the official blog, with a free demo now available at FileShack.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Whats that mean? Even if every last one of us buys it the game probably wont do very well.

Come back and tell us what DRM it uses, I want to know.

Not sure, but the demo worked fine and it's not available for retail until the 25th. Bleh...

My PC is already raped with DRMs, none of which have bothered me. They only get on my nerves, if they prevent me from playing a game without an internet connection and this has not happened yet. That was the first thing I tried with Dead Space after I installed and activated it,

No I don't mind DRM, but I do want to be told which method is used before I fork over my money. Gamersgate doesn't say.

Always good to know before hand, but I'm so anxious about this game, I'm willing to jump in blind.

Have you missed Sam & Max episodes? It's not like the last adventure was Monkey Island 2.

I like the S&M games, but I wish they weren't so streamlined. The one click thing with no options really kills some of the humor they could put in. I hope they'll go back to the old ways of having look, talk, etc., like this game.
