So they just updated L4D. Expert is now fucking impossible. You've been warned...

I didn't see anything about it in the release notes either, but unless I'm imagining things it sure as hell seems like they upped the difficulty. A few things that stick out are that friendly fire knockdowns are about as easy to do as it was in expert (very easy), there are more big encounters with zombie hordes, and it'll throw even more zombies at once at you. Getting tongue tied, puked on, and jumped by a hunter all at the same time was something that only seemed to happen on expert, but now it was much more frequent.
That and it used to be where I could clear advanced in my sleep and on expert I could clear it every now and then if the whole team minded their friendly fire. This time, oof, we tried for about 45 minutes and we got close to finishing only once. Mind you, the first section was relatively easy, the second one was very difficult.

Invisible Lakren made things more difficult:

Weird server lag, though I was laughing at the floating gun/med pack shooting zombies. Wasn't so funny when I couldn't figure out if I might accidentally hit him or not.
Expert is definitely a bit harder. Boss zombies spawn more often, but it still wasn't too bad. -

Yeah, this is my take. Plus if you "take too long" -- then you get swarmed. Also, you get more boss zombies coming at you if you take longer.
But, I've seen the tank pretty much every part of the subway map (even where the escalators are) and same with the witch.
In fact the damn witch was in the MIDDLE of the last subway train leading to the final rooms. Like, what? Yeah...let's sneak past that one. It was actually frapsed. I'm the one saying -- "Wonder where she's going to be this time? That'd be funny if she was in the middle of the train..."

Another idea is to get someone to snipe it from afar, which will make the witch beeline toward him. Then with an auto-shotty, you run up behind her and unload everything into her head before she reached the shooter. Works pretty well if you have the auto-shotty since the witch ignores you if you're not blocking her way.
