Over 900 unreleased video games and DVDs were found in the apartment of a Technicolor employee on Friday, according to a Memphis Commercial Appeal report that appeared on Joystiq.

Police learned of the theft after being tipped off by an employee at Technicolor, which provides packaging, warehouse storage and distribution for video games and DVDs.

The 97 recovered games included copies of Fable II (360), which hits stores today, and Gears of War 2 (360), which arrives on November 7. According to an affidavit, suspect Rodney Gray was planning to sell the games and DVDs on the black market. All together, the goods stored in Gray's apartment were valued at over $100,000.

Gray has been charged with theft of property worth $60,000 or more, with a second and unknown Technicolor employee under investigation. Police say it is currently unclear how much of the unreleased media was sold on the black market.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.
