I must say how happy I am to be in a state that isn't a 'swing state' in this election. During the primaries the number of phone calls was unreal. I can only imagine how painful it must be to have a home phone in Virginia right now.

As for the the videogame news around these parts:

Lastly, I want my new DirecTV TiVo NoW.

Yep, it's a hurricane. It's always weird hearing your house or apartment building wailing from the wind stresses.

Was that guy all by himself? If so, that sucks. If he was with other people though I don't see why he would be scared.

What the hell is causing that noise? Wind blowing through something? Or what

That's what the wind sounds like going under/around closed doors. In my parents old house we had doors that would "whine" like this when the wind would kick up during bad storms. I'd imagine the hotel there probably had the windows open in all the rooms as to hopefully avoid a pressure change from blowing them all out.

Or, it's time to call a Witcher.

I didn't hear any noise. Maybe you heard something coming from inside your house?

Fuck yes, it makes me want to create an audio only video game where you are stuck in a hotel like that but hurricane Ike is full of eldritch horrors.

Imagine playing something like that with only your headphones in a darkened room.

That's not at all what Ike sounded like here. Must be because that was filmed on the island where it was a bit stronger or something about the shape of the building and surrounding area. I had no howling. It was more like a really, really, really strong wind sustained all night long and the regular thump of someone's airborne, lifeless body skipping off the roof.

Then there was this constant sobbing sound, but turns out that was just me crying because I went a week without power and two more weeks without internet.

In every hurricane I've ever been though, there was always the sound of bodies hitting the roof
