Picking the boxed version up after work today. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the improvements they've made first-hand. Funny thing is, this box has better extra than most of the $70-$80 collector's editions that come out, yet it's only $40. CD Projeckt RED wins my money.

Download & install the most recent DirectX 9.0c 'End-User Runtime' installer:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en
Vista does have DX9 (and DX10) by default, but doesn't include all of the different versions of the libraries for DX9. The installer will add those.
That's what I remember, anyways. Damned if I know why they don't just include everything from the get-go. Not like my 10gb C:\Windows is going to even notice the extra files :(

Thank you for being active on these forums Tom. Your input has been invaluable to us waiting for GOG to come online as well as the witcher patch. I know the patch was promised but I wasn't sure wether it would materialize or not. Thank you for making one of the awesomest games ever! I'm really excited to play the enhanced edition.
