Wow is not a "terrible game" - World of Warcraft is a phenomenal game. It is in some ways a victim of its own popularity because there are people who seem to specialize in putting it and its players down. There are things about WoW that are absolutely incredible, like the music, and that is why it is an amazing experience for some people.
If you haven't played it, its truly your loss, because I can't imagine a game fan playing World of Warcraft and not seeing its merits.

If you can restrain yourself from getting sucked into it, I had a great time playing it. The game only started to really suck when you get to the real part of the game - the end game. Then it becomes a truly boring snooze fest where you have to farm your ass off to go anywhere in the game, and the fun ends there - IMO.

I know plenty of people who play WoW and all of them that really get into it are uninteresting and sad examples of functioning society members. The level that some people allow that game to be at in their lives is scary and sad really, I would much rather have a real life adventure than go click crazy in some laggy instance with a bunch of internet "friends". Of course, here I am insulting the idea of internet addiction on an online forum, so what do I know? The point is, I enjoy playing games when I have nothing better to do or when it is crappy weather outside, but WoW takes people to a level of addiction and creates this falsified reality that is nothing short of unhealthy.
