Evening Reading

Pineapple Express is perhaps entertaining if you are drunk or high or really like extended pointless dialogue that isnt particularly funny. Go see Dark Knight again or check out Tropic Thunder. My advice for your weekend!

As for the the videogame news around these parts for today:

Lastly, please share this classic with me. Too bad about the goofy remixing.

Just finished Prey for the first time. Gotta say Jeremy Soule's soundtrack was easily the best part of the game, dude knows what he's doing.

It was a good game but yeah, the soundtrack rocked.

I thought that was a fun game. Especially for the $12 I paid for it. :)

I got it for $5 off Steam, and felt guilty for getting it so cheap. I really enjoyed it.

I don't understand why people were so underwhelmed when it came out. Thought it was fine, old-school quality.

I thought it was great, too. My only wish would have been for more as I didn't come close to being bored of the portal/gravity puzzles.

I think it all boils down to the fact that the game was short, both by design and artificially so because of the "death has no consequence" feature. People played it, liked it, then moved on.

Cuz about 3/4 through it got so insanely repetitive. They just kept throwing the same enemies at you and it totally broke the immersion of the story.

Yeah the final boss was not so great, but the final fights leading up to it were really well staged.

Hell yes. The last 2 or so levels did a great job of making you really feel like you were kicking ass and fucking shit up.

For a real place where aliens lived, there was hardly any variety, apparently all the sphere is the same metal dungeons. That could have been addressed. Hope it will in Prey 2.

I only got about 2-3 hours into it before I became extremely nauseated and almost sick. The only game beside Portal that's done that to me.

Soule's Morrowind and Oblivion sound tracks are top of my list for gaming sound tracks.
