Chrono Trigger DS Hits Retailers on November 28, Includes New Dungeons, Arena Mode
In addition to new dungeons built specifically for the game's Nintendo DS appearance, Square Enix revealed that the game will include an Arena mode, which "add[s] exciting new dimensions" to the classic RPG. No further details were immediately available.
The company had previously revealed that Chrono Trigger DS would include some form of wireless multiplayer, though it is not yet clear whether the Arena mode will serve as the promised multiplayer component.

I'm a snob, I'll pass and just keep playing the various other versions of this exact same (awesome) game already out.
An actual remake next time, kthx?-

I wouldn't even say portability is the boon so much as simply being able to play it. Most people don't have an SNES and a copy of Chrono Trigger these days, which is the only current way to play the game properly (as the PSX version is awful), so I don't take issue with leaving the graphics alone.
As long as they properly emulate the sound, I'll be satisfied. -

maybe this is how they will determine if there is enough demand for a true remake ... even if this game is considered a must play, it does not mean enough people will buy it vs. play it online *illegally* (lets not have the discussion if this is valid or not, but in the eyes of the publishers it is).
Its 35 bucks. Buy it and send a message you want more. -
