Bungie Teases Next Halo Project in New Video

20
While publisher Microsoft may not be ready to unveil Bungie's next Halo-related project, that hasn't stopped the studio from hinting at its current work, this time in the form of a video acceptance speech for EDGE's Interactive Innovation Award.

Narrated by Bungie's Luke Smith, the video looks to be set in a Halo 3 (360) multiplayer map filled with AI bots, a feature the game currently doesn't support, and appears to show a full-fledged map creator at the end--suggesting that Halo 3 may be receiving additional features and functionality, most likely as downloadable content.

"Even though in Halo 3 you finished the fight, that doesn't necessarily mean that the ride's over," noted Smith. "Wait a second, there is no way we're showing this yet." [videofeature]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZCIdPfQqb8 [/videofeature]

The pure dorkiness now associated with the Halo franchise now rivals that of Starwars. Even if they do put out another decent game, I'm going to think twice about buying it.

I finished my first run through H3 this past Friday, and I was "wtf" pretty much the entire time at the storyline. However, the in-game action kicked some major ass.

My co-op play through was a hell of a lot of fun, but the cringe-worthy story bits took away from the experience.

      Insanely popular = pure dorkiness?

"I'm going to think twice about buying it."

Do you exist in a parallel universe where you actually play games for the enjoyment of other people... ?

That makes no sense. A fun game is a fun game (I don't even like Halo that much myself, but it's because I like other games more). Way to limit your horizons.

I think I skipped all of the cutscenes, the action was great though. Great coop game.
