Metal Slug 7 Screenshots Show Armored Combat

Publisher Ignition Entertainment has passed in a new set of screenshots from SNK Playmore's forthcoming run-and-gun shooter Metal Slug 7 (NDS), offering a look at the title's environments and enemy roster.

Metal Slug 7 marks the first non-arcade debut of a new Metal Slug title since the series' 1996 debut, and is developed exclusively for the Nintendo DS. The game features six playable characters, seven levels and classic 2D action shooting gameplay with a variety of new weapons and vehicles.

Metal Slug 7 is due on retail shelves this fall.

    I loves me some Metal Slug and some arcade action but really, there were seven games prior to this (1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5, 6) so if you want to play Metal Slug on an arcade machine there's plenty to choose from.
    
    And you can get Metal Slug Anthology on PS2 and Wii (and PSP apparently) and for $30 you can get all of the games. It's probably my favorite Wii game (or up there, at least)
