Morning Discussion

Good morning Shackers, how is Friday treating you? E3 is pretty much a wrap but that just means you can finally catch up on all the news. We previewed Megaman 9 (Trailer here), Flower, Lips, Castlevania Judgement, Mortal Kombat vs DC, Lego Batman and Rock Band 2 and much more.

Plus there was notable MMO news, with World of Warcraft announcing they would have more than 500 Xbox 360-esque achievements in the new expansion. And the existence of the long rumored Knights of the Old Republic MMO was openly acknowledged by EA, though no release date is even estimated as yet.

cheer up there's always the batman cartoons, they can watch them as early as 3 (which means so do you) although I recommend the gaynamic duo from SuperFriends rather than the animated batman which is often scary

I don't know about UK kit kats but they're different than the Canadian ones. Yours are way sweeter with kind of a chemically after taste.

I really wish I had just left without watching the 3rd act of it... It had at least as many problems as Batman Begins did trying to get to an ending, and at least I could blame that movie on Goyer, but Chris Nolan also got the writing credit this time. That movie could've used another writer to trim down the excessive extra plotlines and false endings.

Ahh no way, I knew that I knew that guy from somewhere when he showed up on Lost. So did they just tattoo his eyeliner on for The Tick, and he's just lived with it ever since then, or what?

haha, I knew it was him in the movie, but I totally didn't make that connection. I just finished watching that on Netflix, too; I love love LOVE The Tick, and everyone involved, but it's really best that that failed to launch

I missed like 60% of it while I was banging my super model gf in my ferrari (which I drove inside the theater). Even with the engine at idle it drowned out most of the audio.

IMAX is actually just DVD quality upscaled to a giant 50' screen. I love watching movies in Super-Duper Blurry Vision! ; )

IMAX is well beyond the standard "high def". It uses a 70mm film with an approximate resolution of 10,000 x 7,000 pixels (70 megapixel) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMAX]

I just read that some scenes were actually filmed by IMAX camera, a first ever for a feature film.
      http://www.flickdirect.com/news/movie-news-detail.aspx?id=260

I've seen other films on IMAX that were upcoverted, but not shot on IMAX film, so they weren't nearly as impressive.
Now I guess I really should see TDK at the Imax theater.
