Dead Space Trailer Demos Disememberment

This new trailer for EA Redwood Shores' sci-fi survival title Dead Space shows off the game's dismemberment system, which will allow monster survivalists to tear their foes apart piece by piece.

Look for Dead Space on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 28. Registered users can use the HD Stream.

A gun that fires along a plane for ease of limb chopping actually seems like a neat idea. But lol to the "strategic dismemberment" - it sounds like something marketing thought of.

  yeah, I cringed quite a few times during the last few videos/dev diaries when they use their marketing speak. Still has a chance to be a good game though, especially since it's being released for the PC as well :)

  Here is your opportunity to coin a better phrase than "strategic dismemberment" to mean "Shooting off specific bits of the enemies to gain an advantage in combat."

    kinda like Starship troopers (the movie) where shooting the bug in the right spot was better than just randomly shooting at it?
