Might & Magic Creator Helms New Fantasy MMO, Console-hating Company Becomes PS3 Publisher
Trion made headlines last year when its CEO and former EA VP Lars Buttler expressed his belief that "the days of the console are numbered," with "one more generation of gaming consoles and that is it."
The company's first title will be a fantasy MMO led Jon Van Caneghem, the creator of the classic PC role-playing franchise Might & Magic. As with the Sci-Fi announcement, few details were provided.
"This game is designed on the philosophy of putting players at the center of the game world," noted Caneghem, who helped co-found Trion and serves as its president and chief creative officer.
"The game will live and change along with the players, evolving in response to their actions and the creativity of our design team," he added. "By building an extensive event system and a server architecture that allows for dynamic change, we are creating completely new opportunities for creative game design."

NO... make it stop no more MMO's.
While playing AofC this weekend, I wondered to my self man if this game was a single player it would be top notch I am sure. I imagined a polished game like the Tortage sections and maybe even more, and throughout the whole game, wouldn't that be sweet.

Yes, I think it would have worked better. I finally managed to crawl my way out of the noob area and I arrive in Cimmeria. And it just feels like more of the same - that place is so uninspired looking. I want to see cool places and explore, dammit. ugh. Not sure if I'll renew my subscription at this point.
