Happy Memorial Day to the Shackers in the US, being a federal holiday things on the news side may be just a bit slow. But you really should be barbecuing anyway. It's not like we haven't brought you some fresh content this weekend though, with our weekly installment of the Gibson-Goldstein Index giving you the lows and the highs for the week. Plus, Faylor has the week's Release List and finally maybe you've heard of a little game called Ninja Gaiden 2? Well, Nick is here to review it for you.

It only works at lower levels and for a few levels. I believe it's only there to kind of teach you how to use combos. But it only works on mobs around level 5-8 or in that area. It will still do dmg at higher levels just not knock themback

Use weapon switching.. it is actually pretty fluid and fast. On my barbarian I approach with a sneak attack/barbaric scream kill.. then finish off the bundle of enemies with a weapon switch + 2 hander. The weapon switching is fast and your skills that are only usable by the weapon your switching to become available as fast as you can press the weapon switch button.

Funcom seems pretty active on bugfixing and stuff. I'm getting more impressed with this game as I play it. I started playing because "it's not WoW" but as I get further in it really does seem to stand on it's own.
/petition however is 100% useless. I opened a petition, and 24 hours later, when I checked status, I was only 8 closer in the Que than I was when I created it. They need more GMs-
yeah it's bad, my GF and I were doing a quest and we were both turning in and in the quest it ports you to another area. Well, it ported me and ate both our quest items and pretty much screwed her. Then on one of my destiny quests(Make Renton talk) it just doesnt work. I just skipped mine because I didnt want to wait as she had been waiting all day on her petition and went from 540 to about 518.

The more i play the more bored i become each time i logon. The game is really really easy. You can kill most things at your level without even using your abilities.
I might try a magic class this afternoon. Oh and i hate the starting area of the game. I HATE IT.-

As I said, I couldn't care less, I'm working today. But I'm taking an educated guess that most of their subscriber base right now is in the US so in planning for down time you'd think they'd take that into consideration...
However yeah, a 9am maintenance is totally acceptable and anyone complaining about it is a fag.

depends on the ganker ..spawn camping isnt much fun when you're on the recieving end
had this lvl 22 ganker on white sands spawnpoint who would kill anyone who materialised ...and since he was easily 10 lvls above what that area calls for players were being slaughtered
I was ganked on the beach, which was fine ....I would later sneak up to him hit him a few times and then run and hide, wash rinse and repeat ..at one point I was hiding and a mob detected me and before I knew I was fighting the 3 mobs and the ganker ..I quickly died the mobs turned on him and whittled his health away , he killed them and then went into rest mode .at that point a player came in (hut in white sands) attacked and killed him ..he was easily 7 lvls below the first ganker ..it was pretty hilarious to watch-
Nothing like decapatating someone when they try to gank you.
