Capcom Eyeing More Game-to-Film Adaptations
"We are in the process of working out contracts for several offers we received at the Cannes Film Festival last week and hope to make an announcement soon," Tsujimoto told Bloomberg.
While no specifics were provided, Capcom properties ripe for adaptation include Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Dino Crisis, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
Capcom has seen great success at the box office and home video sales with the three live-action Resident Evil movies. A Street Fighter film, starring Kristin Kreuk, is currently in production and due next year.
"We want to do with games what Marvel did with comics," Tsujimoto added, referring to Marvel's ability to transform fan-favorite franchises such as X-Men and Iron Man to the big screen. "If realized, the projects will have a big impact on the game and movie industries."

Okami please.

Dead Rising is perfectly suited for a made-for-tv movie. The game's constant interruptions provide perfect opportunities for commercial breaks.
However, A live action Mega Man movie would be a grotesque obscenity, used exclusively to "scare astraight" young film students away from trying game-to-film adaptations.
