Latest Penny Arcade Adventures Media Reminds of This Wednesday's XBLA, PC Release
Microsoft just sent over a screenshot-laden note to remind us that Hothead Games' webcomic-inspired downloadable RPG Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One is this week's Xbox Live Arcade release.
Arriving on Wednesday, May 21 and priced at 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.95), Penny Arcade Adventures will be sold on Xbox 360 via the console's online Xbox Live Marketplace, while the PC, Mac and Linux editions will debut on Greenhouse.

The price is more than enough to put me off. $20 for an XBLA game is outrageous.

Why should XBLA be discounted, just because it's sitting in your living room? You've got the choice of playing the same game on four different platforms for the same price. Sure, lots of XBLA games are $5 and $10, but you can find cheap PC games, too.
I see no difference, and you've yet to articulate one. -

While I'm not a fan of the price, especially for an XBLA game. I'll try it out first to see if it indeed deserves my 20 dollars. This is the best thing XBLA offers the consumer, try before you buy.
I think the people that are complaining are the same people that bitch about buying a game that is 10 dollars.
off that subject. Does anyone know what the combat system is like? I'm a neophyte when it comes this kind RPG.-
It's a turn based rpg like the old Final Fantasy I/II or Pokemon games. You go, then your opponent goes, then you go, back and forth. There will probably be a stat that will determine who goes first.
Beyond that it's the simple find the ability that stops the bad guy from doing some worse counter type things. This game is more about the story and having fun with the simple combat than planning the next strategy of world domination. Didn't they say this game will last 8-10 hrs if that? Hell that's about as long as Mass Effect and I paid $50 for it.
