Blizzard Evaluating WoW Graphics Overhaul
"Will we need a graphical update from the ground up at some point? Yep, probably," said Brack to Eurogamer.
"That's actually something we talk about every expansion. I'm positive we'll talk about it next expansion."
The WoW game client has seen minor graphical changes in updates and expansions, but no major additions to the renderer have been implemented since the game's release in 2004.
Brack also noted that MMO developers which have done graphical updates in the past have not necessarily benefited from the effort.
"A lot of people continued to play with the original client, because it was faster, or they preferred it, or were just used to it or whatever," he continued. "And so for me as a game developer, the idea that we would spend so much time and energy on something and have people go, 'meh, that's not really for me,' that's not very exciting."

yeah, just throw in the towel on the most successful mmo of all time and forsake the 10.7 million users you currently have. what are you 12? is it so hard to understand that 10.7 million monthly subscriptions deserve to be catered to? and a new branch of wow? yeah that wont piss off the nearly 11 million people who invested time into wow, hey heres the same game but its a different branch! i try to stay away from name calling on forums, but you're a moron. i dont even play the game and i can see how retarded that would be for everyone concerned. as a gamer and as a game developer looking to make a profit.

i am just saying the game play is so boring after awhile I was in a guild that was doing Sunwell and it is just the stupidest game play ever they aren't doing me or the 10.7 million people a favor which i am guessing 5 million are nothing but gold spammer accounts since those get shut down all the time. Blizzard has done nothing to improve game play all they have down is "oh crap people are getting bored lets toss some more shit in there" make some improvements to graphics i mean come on if there is 10.7 million people paying then you should be able to overhaul the game all together not just when they have a expansion ready.

and it was quite the worse raid i have seen the Twins are by far the worse boss i have ever seen and i hope blizzard does a 180 on this and makes sure that no other boss is like that again.
