I never got into san andreas for some reason. It felt too much like I had to do real work before I could go have fun...

I agree. Never really got past pedaling around on that lameass bike before I got bored. I don't want to have to do real work to play a game.

I went through the game 3 times without doing any of that shit. In all honesty, there is no need to do any training or eating because it only adds a slight advantage here or there.

The only upgrades that are worth it are for driving and weapons. And these get better over time. Everything else can be ignored.

I've never cared for any of the 3D gta games, give me the classic top down versions any day

i always sucked at that game because your view didn't rotate as the car did, but you still had to do left-right in terms of where the car was facing. if i was driving down the screen, i was pretty much guaranteed to run into a building when i came to a turn :(

The top-down games had a pure fun factor that the 3d ones haven't (and won't, I think) replicated, but I still enjoy the new ones. Mostly nostalgia I think.

GTA 3 allowed you do that, not sure how practical it was while doing missions but im sure u could just fuck around in that mode

GTA3 had a lot of bridges which made it annoying to use. The crazy fast arcade fun factor was gone too.

Tap the keys, realize you change your path with every press, you don't need to hold down the keys. It's not that hard once you get the hang of it.

i dunno. i actually liked flying in that game now and then. strafing runs in the fighter and skydiving from the jet. i used a gamepad though. i can't imagine flying or even driving with the keyboard only.

Flying is my favorite part of the game, and I NEVER found controlling it via keyboard difficult. I am genuinely confused by how many people have trouble with these parts of the game.

I tried to play it again on PS2 (OMG TEH GRAPHICS! MY EYES BURNED!)

Booted up PC version instead and fooled around for a bit, but couldn't really get into it.

On a related note. I dont usually pre-order games, but Gamestop gave me 20% bonus trade-in credit since I put it towards GTA4 pre-order.
