Yeah I kind of agree. San Andreas was had everything, every damn thing, but it was too big, the story was pretty flat and retarded and gang wars just got repetative.
IV looks cool, but I haven't really seen anything new or big that makes me go "I need to play this." at least if they were to change up the art style or tone of the game, but it's being marketed exactly the same as it has been since 3... so one trick poney? Probably. Fun? Yeah. Getting thin? You bet.-

I'm really fucking excited for this game for a number of reasons:
1) San Andreas. It was the first GTA game that I got into. I forced myself to...the other games didn;t hold my interest past the first few missions but once I escaped the first city in San Andreas and the game blew wide open, it was one of the more memorable games I've played. Cruising through the countryside on an NRG-500 was PRICELESS. I loved the scale of that game...the other day me and a buddy popped it in, drove around to airports and just flew around and skydived all over the place. F-ing great.
2) All of the underlying tech in this game. Euphoria physics, the way they render long distances, procedural animation, OMG. I truly think, just based on what I've read, that this game will REDEFINE how we look at action games as a whole. It might even turn the whole fucking industry on its head.
3) Multiplayer. I read on some German site (english translated, poorly), that the scope and graphics of the game are equal to single player. This excites me.

This looks like it has some actual replay value with the multiplayer, plus the bonus DLC for the 360 version. It's definitely the same type of game play, but there is a lot more to go through. Even if it was a giant turd in a box, it'd still sell billions of copies cause it's got the GTA label on it.

so wrong. what do you think the xbox version was a port of?
pc had major improvements in framerate & draw distance and other effects, not to mention higher resolutions and increased AA & AF thanks to the hardware. pc versiosn were far superior, it was no contest. as for controls, pc wins again with mouse & keyboard options for on foot, in car, or both, and of course gamepad support at the same time.

oh yeah, load times were practically non-existent in the PC versions of all three games, though they fixed that issue with san andreas anyway.
and i know the PC & Xbox versions of SA were developed at the same time and released the same exact day. claiming the xbox version, whose hardware was quite inferior to standard PC specs at the time (mid 2005), is the better version is just asinine.
