Morning Discussion
Let's kick off the discussion of most all things great and small again, shall we? Yesterday saw quite a bit of news, with the announcement of Epic's Unreal catalog heading to Steam. That's pretty great, but it's like seeing an Olympic-sized pool and just staying in the shallow end. Where's Jill of the Jungle? Jazz? I think fairly relevant to Shackers would be news of the Puzzle Quest expansion for the XBL version, though I wonder if they'll try to do anything for those who bought it on other platforms. Also, the Audiosurfers in the house should pay heed to this free album, though to be fair I don't think the game is a requirement. Plus, ding/gratz to the big guy.

I wanna go home and play Titan Quest :(

Maybe one of you knows this, I been getting requests to update TitanCalc to handle +skills on various items.
I'm not to sure how this works once you go over the max points for a skill for instance:
http://www.gamebanshee.com/titanquest/skills/earthenchantment.php
Max Skills for Earth Enchantment is: 1 Active Energy Cost/Second, 6.0 Meter Radius, +100% Fire Damage, 5-8 Fire Damage, +75 Energy Reserved
The skill goes up 8% in Fire Damage each point, but I'm not sure the skill actually goes to +108% Fire Damage... so I'm curious if any of you know what it does...
Does it cap the points once you hit max regardless of skill points, or does it recalculate above the max?-
-
Looks like +4 is the cap on going above any given skill.
I'll have to open the AssetManager and dig through and get the values for EVERY skill in the game to do this.... interest is fading :(
What's neat about that though is if you find an item that grants say +5 Skill in Warfare, you could take all your warfare skills and remove one point from max and still get the full benefit.. pretty nifty.
I'll see how big a pain it'll be I guess... ug.

Both run hot and sticky on my computer which only cost $700 (minus case, PSU, hard drive, and DVD-RW). WItcher in particular gets really fucking good. I am about 30 hours in and have about 15-20 hours left. The game presents you with lots of tough choices and unlike most RPGs (where no matter your response NPCs treat you the same), you can really piss people off where you'll miss out on quests or gain other quests.

With this gear you should have an Avg DPS of 12176 in melee and up to 21000 with onslaught at max
with ranged you should have Avg DPS of 5664 would be much higher if you are hunter spec (im warfair)
Dont worry about the +skills to talents you dont have, the gear listed has the most +damage and +attack speed you can get to max out your toon

I'll check if I have any armor/bows that you could use. What's your strength and dex right now?
Also, my ranger's wolves also got owned past Egypt but they scale with difficulty. I'm playing Epic right now and the wolves survive just fine. At any rate I'm only really using them for the Strength of the Pack skill. -

That goes away real quick. Pick up everything that enemies drop (hint:, if you hold the ALT key, the names of every non sucky (ie not rusty/cracked/etc) will come up and you can just take those). When you are full, press L to create a portal and head back to town, sell your shit, and teleport back to where you were before.
By level 5 you'll be able to buy mad stacks of potions and not worry about the cost.

You do not resist the meteors. You run. They will kill you.
Also, do you have Art of the Hunt maxed out? That will boost your damage output. Fill up the Marksman line and Volley and you'll see a substantial difference in killing power. You should be able to squeeze out about 250-300 DPS with that bow along with good skills and decent equipment.
