Bully: SE Fix Coming Within Next Week
"We will be releasing a title update through Xbox Live within the next week that we are confident will rectify the problem," noted PR spokesperson Darlan Monterisi.
Reports began to surface earlier this week that the enhanced Xbox 360 edition of the original PlayStation 2 title suffered from numerous issues, including system-stopping freezups, audio sync problems, and achievement glitches. The Wii version, which was also released this week, is not said to be affected.
Rockstar co-founder Sam Houser soon spoke out, claiming the company had encountered no such issues during internal testing and was working around the clock to resolve the problems.
"We apologize wholeheartedly for the inconvenience that this matter has caused some owners of the game," Monterisi continued. "We are very aware of the problems some people have been experiencing with the Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition and have been doing everything within our powers to resolve these issues as quickly as possible."

guess it's cool they can fix the problems and are actually doing something about it, but a little disheartening to see the pc game developer mentality of release now/patch later hit the console scene.

Some bugs don't really show themselves until a final product has been released. Half Life 2 had a giant problem with stuttering when it first debuted that made the game unplayable in some situations. I agree that it's bullshit for the game to have a serious game stopping bug like that, but mistakes do happen. I'm glad they're fixing it instead of telling everyone to just defrag their 360 drive and be done with it.

im sure there would have been enough time between it going gold and release to have the game have a release day patch if it were the case. this was a pretty serious issue, i wouldn't be surprised if they had all hands on deck the past couple of days ironing this out. as we've seen it's been pretty widespread so it probably didn't take long to isolate.
also i'm mostly pissed that i didnt hear about this in advanced reviews. i watched the IGN video review and they only mentioned the framerate issue but went on like it was a minor flaw (hell Mass Effect had framerate issues and it's probably my favourite 360 game) -
