congrats to Redwood on getting engaged!

As for the the videogame news around these parts for today:

Lastly, please do excuse the mess around these parts. We have a little more cleanup to

do so you may see a few minutes of down time here and there as we beef up the systems even

more. It's a good thing though!

find your ClientRegistry.blob and delete that file. It's what I had to do when I had that happen

She's done it. I spent at least an hour one day trying to troubleshoot it with her.

Yeah I had that problem with Steam as well a while ago... I didn't know what it was or how to fix it, the usual messing around didn't do anything. I too had to reformat. It sucks :(

try uninstalling steam? note that it will delete all your steam games so you can try backing up the shit in your steam\steamapps folder to save yourself on downloads :(

That happened to me. I reformatted Vista. Steam has been a total burden for me.

I'm having something similar. Sometimes i have an issue in any hl2-based game where a glass pane (breakable or not) is replaced by the wireframe for the glass frame and a diagonal line through the middle which I assume means the pane is actually two triangles and not a quad.

If the glass is breakable and someone shoots it then the hl2-based game crashes. If it's not breakable then sometimes it STILL crashes but takes a while after I shoot the glass.

Oh and it's not heat related because I had it on a cold day here and the card was only around 70 Celsius.

Uninstall TF2, delete ALL local content related too it manually (no, steam doesn't do it for you), then re-download and install everything. Worked for Countersrike when it happened too me a year ago.
