N+ Assaults Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday

2
Metanet Software and Slick Entertainment's N+ will be this week's sole Xbox Live Arcade release, Microsoft has announced. Selling for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), it will be available for download from the Xbox 360's online marketplace Wednesday, February 20. Based on Metanet's original ninja-tastic physics-based freeware platformer N, the console remake adds cooperative and versus multiplayer, both local and online, along with more than 300 levels, a stage editor, additional costumes, and the promise of more downloadable arenas.

Versions of N+ are also in development for Nintendo DS and PSP at SilverBirch Studios. Slated to arrive later this spring, they will be published by Atari.

Damnit! Here's another XBLA game brought from "OMG MUST BUY NOW!!!1!!" to "Depends on how much I like the demo..." simply by the mere addition of $5 to its price...

But since the demo is free and the same download as the full game, whyever not try the demo first just in case?

The only game I bought without trying the demo was Space Giraffe, just because I thought that even if the game sucked (and, my god, it *sucks*, IMO) I wanted to fund the idea of Jeff Minter the hippy still writing games for fun in his house. :)

Maybe I bought Worms without trying the demo, too, but you know what you're gonna get there.

$10 isn't bad for a full game that is fun as hell to play. Now charging $20 for The Ship on Steam when it came out, that was a mistake.
