World of Warcraft Patch 2.4 Hits Test Server

8
The latest update to Blizzard's World of Warcraft has been applied to the game's test server, adding a new area to explore plus a slew of tweaks and mechanical updates.

The new patch includes the Sunwell Isle, a new area which features a quest hub, new 5-player and 25-player instances and the new Shattered Sun Offensive faction. The update also improves the combat log, allowing players to fine-tune their combat filtering and define custom colors for friends and enemies.

Players will also notice a huge number of class-specific tweaks and other fixes in 2.4, the entirety of which is detailed in the complete patch notes. The patch will likely make the jump to the World of Warcraft live servers in the very near future.

guilds have already cleared the first 3 bosses in the new raid instance too :( Hopefully the last 3 are ridiculous or raiders will just be bored again

maybe they will make them harder on PTR before release?

I personally hated raiding when you had to learn new bosses.

The running back from death, rebuffing, recollecting specific gear/buff-items... it was just blah.

Cthun is what originally made me quit, putting in unbeatable content was blizzard lameness.

I think that was their plan.

The first three are on par with Tier 6 bosses and their drops reflect this. The last 3 bosses require raids decked out in T6 gear.

fyi, they get lots of help by GM's on the PTR's for these event tests.

They always make the instance unbeatable due to some bug so ppl wont clear it too fast, and after some time they correct the bugs.

They did not do that for the expansion. C'Thun was the last boss they did it on. I don't think Naxx had this problem either.

Gruul was horribly bugged (as in cockblocked) at first. The current Gruul is a lolfest compared to that. Lady Vasj too. Kael too. So no, they did not stop at C'thun.

considering a vast majority of "raid guilds" is somewhere between Kara and Kael & Vashj, I don't see that as a problem - frankly, I don't see why the people who clear new raid content a few days/weeks after it's introduced even keep playing and then demand even more attention from the game developers
