Yeah, I've never played a burnout game either. I'm really wanting this game but am nervous about fucking up the races because I don't have the city memorized. I'm still trying to download the demo. Anyone know if the demo is representative of the whole game?

I think everybody will be missing a lot of turns to start with. I'm sure it'll get better as you learn the city better.
During the races just watch the street signs at the top of the screen. The middle one is the street that youre currently on. The ones on the sides are the upcoming streets. If one of the upcoming street signs is blinking then thats a road that leads to your destination.-

Honestly I can't see how a Burnout Underground could be fun, also Crash Mode rape.

Did you try the demo?
Like almost everyone else I really dont like the decision of not being able to choose your event from a menu or restart but I still think the game is going to be great fun, especially in multiplayer mode. Once you start to learn the roads and locations of things you need I dont think it will be that much of an issue.-
Don't have a 360, I'm still waiting for a certain shacker to ship me his original Xbox so I can replay 3 and 4.

Yeah, bought mine mid-September, didn't actually open it until mid/late October or so. I was watching old movies on the TV via streaming and fell asleep, and woke up with the 3 lights blinking. I shut it off and turned it back on later and it's working, but I'm guessing that this is on its way out no matter what I'm doing now.
I got Burnout today, though. :P

oh they are always full of shit, once a manager acted like he knew when the fuck the PSP slim would be in stock (like, weeks later), then two days later after reading that the Daxter edition had been out for a few days I walked into the very store the manager worked at and picked up an unit. Fuck 'em, not to be trusted.

no. I just picked it up at lunch and play for a few minutes. work, mall and home are all pretty close.

two quick interesting notes
1) the bonus cars you can unlock with codes gamestop, etc can be used online right away but you have to upgrade your license several times in single player before you can use it there.
2) I saw a marked man event where you have to make it to a certain spot on the map without letting AI drivers take you out of the race. I hope this is an option in multiplayer. I think that would be fun. -
Fuck yeah, GF emailed me to say they shipped the game out to me. Should get it tomorrow.
I'm really enjoying the hell out of Takedown when I downloaded it off of Xbox Originals. Crash mode has me hooked.-

I'm about an hour in. Yeah, it loses its "OMG WTF" factor after an hour, but it's still pretty fun. Like bowling with cars.
Takedown does it the most for me, will have to see if it is even more awesome online.

Let me know how it is. Earlier this year we downloaded the burnout revenge demo on the 360 and everyone has played that thing constantly when they come over. I haven't seen it at any stores or I'd have bought it. If this game is anywhere near the level of retarded hilarity then I'll surely buy it.

Whoever Nipgrip (PS3 - add me Ps3 player, Boxelder) is, didn't havee my mic and you weren't starting any races. This game is incredible BTW. The restart thing really hasn't bothered me at all so far. I could see it being a little annnoying later one the harder burning laps when everything else is done, but right now the variety and density of content is so good.
