Devil May Cry 4 PS3 Requires 5 GB Install, Features Achievement-like System

The PlayStation 3 version of Capcom's upcoming Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, X360) requires a one-time 5 GB installation before the game can be played, according to PS3 Fanboy.

The PS3 version of the title will also sport an achievement-esque system, in which players can earn awards for their actions, which are then viewable to other DMC4-playing PS3 users. The PS3 version of the game also features the exclusive ability to direct the camera by tilting the system's motion-sensitive Sixaxis controller.

A similar achievement-like system will be part of the Trophy Room in Sony's upcoming Home (PS3) initiative, though it is not yet known if DMC4 will be compatible with that functionality.

All versions of Devil May Cry 4 arrive on February 5, with the console outings accompanied by an optional $80 collector's edition. Xbox 360 and PS3 demos are due out around that time as well.

        Actually that's the thing -- you can on a PS3. Any aftermarket 3.5" SATA drive works as far as i know.

        yea you can pretty much put any sata laptop sized hdd in it, so thats not a bad idea.

        Although I like the idea of being able to just install another drive, being forced to use 1/8th of the HDD space for one game sucks. Adding another HDD makes the PS3 even more expensive, especially since they are laptop drives.

        It would be nice to just have it be optional to reduce load times if you want to do so.

            What, you run like a 20 gig hard drive in your PC? lol

            My point was that if every game did that, you can only really play a few games at a time, and that sucks for people who have more than one person using a console.

      has nothing to do with disc capacity, it's seek times of the drives.

      I just backed up my 60GB and put a 160GB in, did a restore and everything was back and I had a ton more space to play with. It's quite easy, so long as you don't strip the damn screws on the HD cage.
