Morning Discussion
So what are you guys playing this weekend? I'll give a Call of Duty 4 t-shirt randomly to someone who posts in the thread. Oh, and this gallery should populate itself with some good shacker creations over the next couple hours if you would like to take that in.

So what are you playing this weekend? Is it awesome? Is it lame? Why? Should people check something out? Is it cool or is it wack?

I'm playing it now too. Not very far into it but I had played it before (rental) and decided it was worth a buy. It's really fun so far and a few levels have alternate ways to solve them which sometimes makes you want to go back and figure out why you couldn't solve it the easier way. Rent it first at least to see how you feel about it. You can get to the second world in about an hour to an hour and a half, and that should give you a good feel of how the mechanics are laid out.

TF2, assuming I don't repeatedly get fucking CUtLinkedList Overflow errors, or get constantly kicked out of servers due to redirection, WTF that is.
I also sucked it up and reinstalled X3: Reunion 2.0, several months after having lost my saved games in a HDD crashed. Still fun, and I was able to get a lot farther a lot quicker this time around. -

Galaxy - 23 stars and starting to get really into it now. I love my new Wii and it loves me.
Then I'm going to try and sneak in some WoW or cancel my account.
I've got HL2 - EP2 sitting there (on PC) and not installed yet but my mind is turning to Skate, Mass Effect or Stranglehold.
Oooh need to finish Bioshock, Dead Rising and I've got another 3 Wii games to unwrap.
Ah fuck there's not enough time in the day. -

I will be playing the fascinating game of "Schlep PA and Lighting gear all over the city of Binghamton, NY" - we're busy getting ready for First Night festivities. ( http://www.southerntiercelebrates.org )
(Oh, and playing BioShock finally. I'm hoping it will be cool! Also picked up Psychonauts from Steam, so I'll be checking that out too.)
And on New Years' Eve I'm doing backline audio support for these two acts at the BC Forum kids' show: http://www.fredgarbo.com and http://www.lazervaudeville.com/promovideo.html .
I like doing the kids' venue 'cause the acts are usually fun, wacky stuff and the kids always get a big kick out of them! -

I got a DS Lite for Christmas from my parents. My girlfriend hooked me up with Mario Kart, parents got me Brain Age 2, and I got the DS that comes with Zelda. I've been playing Brain Age 2 every day since I got it, and I played some Mario Kart for a while yesterday. Waiting for a time when I am alone and it is quiet to start on Zelda, which may happen this weekend and may not. Either way, Brain Age and Mario Kart are a blast, so it doesn't matter.
I know, I know, welcome to 2005 right. It's new to me! :D -
Kane&Lynch on the PC. I liked the game a lot until I got to Havana. All the tension and
excitement was gone. I could as well play Ghost Recon: Advanced warfighter... Nothing wrong in that game but not what I wanted from this one.
The controls are quite sharp. Apparently they aren't in the other versions and it plays well in most ways.
What a nosedive after the good beginning. Well... Guess I have to finish it sometime soon.
(Oh yeah! I played Hitman games too. They're extremely badass!) -
I just got a 360 for Christmas and I bought a bunch of games with Christmas money. So I'm playing Crackdown, Dead Rising, Forza 2 and Halo 3.
I'll probably also play some COD4 online on PC. I really thought TF2 was going to be the best multiplayer game this year, but I love me some COD4 multiplayer.
Oh yeah and I'm just about done with my play-through of Deus Ex this year (I'm on Area 51) -

Oh, and geedeck, I've had the game since day one and should've put it away by now, but Galaxy came out when I was like half way through it. The Box, came out within a week or so before it's release, as well. So yeah, it still worked out as it became the perfect game to play in between rounds of TF2 and acquiring Grand Stars in Galaxy. I've finished Portal, Galaxy, and Episode Two since I started playing Z-Dub and am now 16 out of 17 inches pieces deep. Still McLovin' it.
Zack and Wiki. Wack, it is not. :[

it's not System Shock 2 bad. I haven't had anything completely stop working on me, or even get so bad that it would jam constantly. The armor is probably the worst bit. I try to carry at least one extra suit of armor so when the one I'm wearing is fucked (for me, around 65%) I can dump it and put on some good stuff.

Like I keep saying, it's not clumsy, it's just completely different from what you're used to. If you're playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. run 'n gun you'll be massacred. If you stick with it and adjust to S.T.AL.K.E.R.'s ballistics, you'll almost find the game easy. You have to account for bullet flight time and bullet drop, along with learning accuracy. The pistols have relatively correct accuracy with respect to the SMGs and rifles in the game (i.e.: it's hard to hit anything beyond 10-15 yards without taking quite a bit of time to aim). When you pick up your first SMG you'll start tearing through people like crazy, assuming you've figured out the ballistics.

I guess we are a rare breed, I absolutely loved stalker. No piece of armor or a gun will last forever in that zone. And the guy you are controlling is not some sort of muscle bound dude that he can carry every single weapon you come across.
I hated leaving a sniper rifle behind in one of my "stashes" but I had to do it since I was going underground. I swore to myself if I ever made it out of the x labs I will get my sniper rifle back.
See how awesome that is? I guess I just try to put myself in the STALKER's shoes. and I'd pee myself if I ever had to go in a real life x-lab X(-

I applied the real gun names mod so I don't know what ones your talking about, haha.
But once I got this gun:
http://www.snipercentral.com/svd.htm
I had no trouble in the long distance battles. :P-
I don't remember the in-game names either. You get the M4 in the same area where you have to help out Kruglov the scientist guy against the Mercs and the G36 is in the hands of some of the Freedom members, is you might want to let one get killed by the Monolith guys so you can take his G36. It's seriously almost as accurate as the SVD up to about 300-400 yards or something, it's ridiculous. You don't get the F2000 until you're inside the Sarcophagus, but it's easily the best all-around gun in the game. Insane damage, super accurate, and it has a grenade launcher. Once you pick one up you won't need anything else. With the F2000, regular 5.56mm ammo does more damage than the 9x39mm SP-5 (the one with the yellow stripe on it) from the VLA silenced one.

Mass Effect. It's amazing. This is one of those games where I can see all the flaws and weaknesses that caused it to only get 8/10 scores, but it does everything I want games to do so well that I don't give a shit. Like Deus Ex, the obvious flaws in the game are more than compensated for by the scope of what the devs tried to achieve.
Plus I made Shepard look like the gayest guy this side of the Village People. -

Just 2 missions left in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Having never played a Fire Emblem game before, and being a big fan of turn-based strat RPGs and difficult games, I still say this was quite a brutal experience. To get through a mission without any party members dying, stealing all the gear you want, not breaking important weapons, getting all the new members to join your party first time through is punishingly difficult to achieve. A lot of serious strategizing is involved but there are still quite a few things that are out of your control, such as your character's stat leveling, that can tip the balance between winning and losing pretty easily. I still have been enjoying it, but it's not for the weak of heart.

Mario Galaxy and Stalker.
Stalker has me really shocked, I know it was hyped up and then I just didn't hear much about it when it was released - but so far it's fantastic, really damn creepy and atmospheric... my only gripe is that the mods I want to use seem to break the game and make it crash past a certain point in the game early on -

I am playing a sidetrack on a well west of Kettleman City.
I expect to eat at Harris Ranch if I get a break during business hours.
If I am lucky this sidetrack and drop back to vertical will only take 2 days and I will be back at my house for the new years Orgy that I have planned*.
