      so much for IE7 being the best thing since sliced bread. I wonder how many UI changes there will be that bring it back to what IE6 looked like.

      I do hope that there's a "secure mode" that never saves passwords, never caches anything, and stays strict about cookies.

      no it did not come out - there was just some news about it yesterday concerning following standards.

      first beta is expected a few months into '08

        Has Microsoft released any details when it will enter a public beta?

        Ideally, I'd like to know when ie8 will be available to everyone, not just people beta testing it.

          It passes Acid 2. So kinda. I'm sure trhey'll still make up more shit than they adhere to, as usual. IE is not a standard and fuck anyone who says otherwise. :(
