Would all those with mp3 ringtones, which are not simple recordings of old-fashioned ringing phones or some other simple sound, please submit yourself to Boris for execution. Your phone is an annoying embarrassment every time someone calls you. Get off my planet. Thank you. There will be mint chocolates for desert afterwards.

If I hear a "bring bring... bring bring" or similar then it's easy to ignore. My brain says, "that's a phone; it's not my phone; I'll ignore it" and since it is a consistent and familiar sound it is easily filtered out.
If some melody starts playing or, even worse, some cunts start singing, every time someone's phone rings then that is much harder to block out.

I dunno, it gets my attention right quick, which is why I have it on there. The vibrate function on my phone is terrible (it's barely perceptible) and I usually only use it when I have to as a result.
