    I picked up the 20d body used for $475 and I currently have a canon 50mm f/1.8 ($55) and a sigma 18-125mm ($135) lens.

    You don't need an expensive camera, just a decent one with some manual settings.

    all 3 of them at ISO 100. I should probably play around a little more with that, but I'm not sure if I need to or not.
