Morning Discussion

Welcome to the start of another week here at the Shack. With the holidays creeping up on us, Faylor gives us the lowdown on this week's releases. Apparently EA found a way, because the Orange Box should be showing up for PS3 after having been released for PC and 360 a while back.

So the Spike Video Game Awards were this weekend... Could anyone bear to watch? If nothing else, we did get some footage of Borderlands and Prototype, right?

lol burningtrees, if you don't have COD4 yet, put that $20 towards that instead.

hah, I already picked up COD4 for the 360. ;) But if SoF:PB is brain dead fun w/o murky controls or anything else that detracts from the $20 price point, then it might be worth it. :)

What platform is it on btw?

seriously the game is pretty bad. I only played the first two areas because other games came in and took my focus. When theres not so many good, new games I plan on renting it again to go a bit further so I can make a real decision on it.

Didn't I tell you? You're better off spending the $20 on something cooler, like beer.

Does Ninja Gaiden play on the XBOX360, and is Ninja Gaiden 2 coming out for it?

why are you on a video game website if you obviously have no interest in good video games? :(

I'm a hardcore PC gamer. As far as console stuff goes, I like Ninja Gaiden and Contra: Shattered Soldier (and every other Contra game). I'll probably buy a 360 for Gaiden 2, but that's about it.

I used to be like you... :) I've barely played a game on my PC since I got my 360. I've played a bit of TF2 on it, but I'm hooked big time on COD4 on the 360. It's so much fun. I did try to play HL2 EP2 but it crashed and I haven't tried again. :( Makes me sad because I played EP1 on my PC with no issues whatsoever.

I played through CoD4 on my PC. ;) I also like how I can mod games on my PC.

So you don't get frustrated playing a FPS on a gamepad after using mouse/keyboard for so long?

I don't. Mouse+KB will always be superior, but I can switch-hit with ease now. Some games make sense on PC (TF2); others on console (BioShock, where twitch aiming is not as important as immersion and sound design).

Not at all. Yes, it's not as precise and blah blah blah, but it's still a lot of fun. I even have my 360 connected to my PC monitor and use it at my desk. It's such an amazing machine though. Makes playing games with Shackers so easy with voice comm built into every online game and it just works flawlessly.
