So I got this huge 5 pounds or something bag of skittles a few days ago and I've

realized something. I dont really like a ton of skittles. They are just kind of good once

in a while. Too much of a good thing. :(

Lastly, as I've said in the comments of the latest Gerstmann story, I'm ready for it

to be done with. It's not like we are ever going to get any clear answer from anyone. I

dont think half the people who think they know the 'real story' are even right.

    Metal Loving Shackers....

On the way home I was thinking of what song packs would be cool in Rock Band. And Children of Bodom lept to mind immediately. The drumming, the guitars everythings great. Well, actually I wouldnt want to do vox for it. But someone might :p

Anyone else have any metal favorites for hypothetical metal Rock Band song packs?

More Judas Priest and Slayer. I'm thinking of the CoB song "Downfall" and am Imagining broken pedals on the drum.

      Shiiiit I need Rockband.

I know, they'd had to sell an extra after market pedal so we can get our double bass on.

some of their newer stuff has some great guitar lines.

Their newer stuff has less and less guitar stuff. They're super keyboard-heavy now. More so than they were before. You'd definitely need a keyboard controller before they did songs from Nightwish, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica etc.

yea i don't like their new stuff to much. Way too overproduced and orchestra/keyboard heavy.

I'm hoping for more 80-90s alternative and cheese stuff. I really could care less about the heavy metal tracks.

and I'd like to see some themed stuff out there. 50s crooners, ska, etc.. hell even a disney pack or something for the ladies (my wife wants this badly)

      I just want variety.

I am biased but I think lamb of god would be great. Their guitars and drums are very technical and would be a bit hard to play :D

it'd be impossible to try and play any sort of difficult metal on the rock band thingie..

I would like some International noise conspiracy, refused, Psyopus, Dillinger escape plan and many more. It would be awesome to have some real tech metal stuff in that game.

Even simple jazz is well beyond the ken of man casual abilities of rock band players. People have a hard enough time following eighth notes. You think they can do triplets and swing rhythms? *maybe* simple big band stuff. Maybe. Still, drummers would have a really hard time. Also, what jazz bands have a drummer, guitar and singer?

I was thinking the same for CoB. Also needs LAMB OF GOD, DREAM THEATER, RAGE, Symphony X, Pagan's Mind, Gamma Ray, Demons & Wizards, Masterplan, Iced Earth, Lost Horizon, Nightwish, Kamelot, Starbreaker, The Haunted... God, a Metal Band expansion (with second kick pedal and a keyboard controller of some kind) would be awesome.

Seriously, these songs would be perfect:

The Haunted - Shadow World (This song is the perfect metal song. Seriously)
Children of Bodom - Follow The Reaper
Pagan's Mind - Enigmatic Mission (<3 Pagan's Mind, this one is perfect for Metal Band)
Lamb of God - Hourglass (The end of this song rocks so freaking hard)
        Heavenly - The Dark Memories
        Tool - Vicarious
Gamma Ray - Heart Of The Unicorn (\m/ \m/)
Rage - Paint The Devil On The Wall (not Rage Against The Machine)
Stratovarius - A Million Light Years Away
Dream Theater - Take The Time (haha, nobody would be able to play it)
        Dethklok - Castratikon
Symphony X - The Serpent's Kiss (so awesome)
