Free Lumines Port Released on PC

Q Entertainment and WildGames have joined forces to bring Tetsuya Mizuguchi's music-based puzzle title Lumines to PC players.

Offered on the applicable WildGames site, Lumines includes five modes of play and an online leaderboard. The game is free to download, with a short ad playing before it launches. The advertising-free version can also be purchased for $20.

Shouldn't they have made the ad-free version cost like $5.00? I mean at least then it would be a nice nod to the devs and you'd remove the ads. At $20 it seems like very few people will actually donate.

  Even at $5 I'd probably just play the ad-supported version. The ads don't show up in the actual game, as far as I can tell.

  I wonder if they'd make more money from ad versions than $5 ad-less versions then? (i have no idea, but might be why)
