Two PlayStation Eye Titles Arriving on PSN Today

7
Though new content usually arrives on the PlayStation Store every Thursday, at least a couple games will be coming early this holiday week, according to SCEA assistant producer Greg Lutton on the official PlayStation Blog. Both titles--Operation: Creature Feature and Aquatopia--make use of the PlayStation Eye accessory and presumably come from Sony's internal studios.

Operation: Creature Feature has gamers directing tiny monsters through levels with their hands using the PlayStation Eye and will cost $4.99. More of an interactive fish tank than a game, Aquatopia lets players interact via the Eye with a virtual school of sea creatures and will cost $1.99.

Both titles should be arriving on the PlayStation Network later today.

Since the original EYE-TOY works with the PS3, will it work with these titles?

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. Something about this new camera being way more fancy and having higher resultion, that kind of thing.

The Eye Toy may be the most over locked peice of hardware / tech.

Such a shame it did not recive the attention that the Wii remote did.

Now with the Gun Con 3 the ps3 realy has everything in the tech department, yet it is so slashed apon by sooo many, such a shame for Sony and the consumer.

Calmn down, *sigh* not another defensive Nintendo fanboy…

I am not saying the EyeToy is better than the Wii Mote, or that it is used in the same way… relax.

I am comparing the EyeToy to the Wii Mote in the way that it is a new control scheme for video games, like the Wii Mote, nothing else. The EyeToy has never gotten the recognition for what it can do now or even back in the PS2 days. The EyeToy has allot of possibilities with no exposure.

Do you not believe the EyeToy to be used as a control interface for videogames?

              Hows so?

"Do you not believe the EyeToy to be used as a control interface for videogames? "

Is that not a fact that I am stating?
