EA Not Expecting to Meet Rock Band Demand, Warhammer Online Delayed Again
"We won't be able to put up enough inventory to meet the demand of this fiscal or calendar year," EA CEO John Riccitiello said of Rock Band's expensive instrument-laden bundle, reports Gamasutra. The CEO stressed that "a lot of inventory" would be available when the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions launch on November 20, but indicated additional units would be difficult to come by "unless you know someone at one of our retailers."
Speaking on the Warhammer Online delay, the company, as related by FiringSquad, explained that Mythic co-founder Mark Jacobs requested the game's release be pushed back due to problems hitting production milestones. It is now anticipated to arrive within EA's 2009 fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2008.

I've heard from the WAR beta testers that it was shaping out to be a good game but was still a horribly unfinished game so that delay was expected. Sad though cause I need a new addiction to fill WoW's void and TF2 is only gonna work for so long
