Crysis Goes Gold
"We are extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Crysis," said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli. "We wanted to push the boundaries both visually and with open-ended, non-linear gameplay and we believe the end result delivers that vision."
Though the title doesn't hit for another couple of weeks, gamers can whet their appetites and test their system's worth with the single-player demo.
Those interested in the game are also urged to read our chat with Yerli about the technology behind Crysis in order to plan their system upgrades accordingly, and our preview of the full game for more gameplay details.

singleplayer was fun for the most part. I didn't play all of the demo but from what I did play it almost seemed too easy. But I usually buy FPSs on the computer for the multiplayer...is it any good? Do you get all the singleplayer abilites in the multiplayer or does it just turn it into some generic shooter?

SP abilities are definitely in MP - in the beta release, the power consumption rate seemed lower, but so did the strength of the effects. The game plays somewhat like a Battlefield or ET game, but with really powerful long-distance weapons and rich foliage (on the only released map, at least), making snipers very dangerous. I suck at sniping, so I didn't really love the beta, but I liked the demo a lot, if that means anything.

The MP is excellent IMO, I think that Crysis MP is about the most fun I've had online in a long time actually. And yes you have the powers.
Cloaking works well when you hold still, but you still cast a shadow, and when you get close to a cloaked person you hear a high, electronic shimmering sound if that makes any sense.
Strength steadies your shots which is great for sniping, but you stick out cause you're glowing red. It's all good fun. -
