Morning Discussion
Hello Shacknews! Everyone awake? Maybe need a cup of coffee after a bit too much Portal or Episode 2? Understandable. Take your morning easy, peruse our Orange Box MS Paint contest gallery, maybe step out and grab a bagel if you like. Oh and if you need to get your chat on regarding The Orange Box, this is where you want to be. Later this afternoon, I'll have some more results for you with the ET:QW contest results. No kidding. I can't believe how bad the FPS drought was, and then this year... Stalker, COD4, Quake Wars, TF2, Halo 3, UT3, Crysis, Ep2, what else am I forgetting?
And that's just the FPS stuff, there is a metric fuckton of other great games either already out, or coming out.
Amazing year, completely amazing. I'll still be playing some of these games in the years to come.-

it is *vastly* superior to its first launch. grab nightfall if you're going to play. prophecies was fucking boring for pve, despite having some awesome ending areas, it was wayyyyyyyy tooooooo sloowwwwwwww
factions has possibly some of the worst voice acting and story presentation I've ever seen, despite having some amazing areas
But Nightfall has Heroes, which combined with Henchmen/hero control means you can play through the whole game comfortably with just one friend (you + friend + 3 heroes each = 8 person party)
GWEN, which just launched is cool, but you need a l20 char to reach it, so you have to do one of the campaigns first, and Nightfall is easily the best.
That's just pve stuff though, there is some *really* fun pvp to be had. If you enjoyed wow battlegrounds, try it out.
All that, plus no monthly fee, no grind, no epic/casual gap... yeah, I'm a fan :)
