Morning Discussion

What's up Shacknews, the day treating you okay? Picked up Zelda:PH last night, but figured I'd let the fiancee play through it first, as I'd probably monopolize it past her interest window if I started now. Amazingly difficult to find a game on its launch day, it makes me a bit unsure why manufacturers and retailers even play like they'll have it in stores then, let alone stocked to the public at an EB/Gamestop. Circuit City was my salvation finally, but really why is it that the retail situation is just as frustrating in 2007 as it was in 1987? But it's not just nintendo. It's anyone on launch, this always happens. PGR4 was the same yesterday.

but really. this is a very quiet release. i havent barely heard a peep about the game.

makes me wonder whether its worth picking up. cash is tight these days with all these video games i have to keep buying... im seriously going to have to live on ramen thanks to it.

          yea same here.

they had stacks and stacks of Halo 3 when I picked my copy up 2 or 3 days after launch.

reason circuit city always has games stocked is because NOBODY goes there to buy games.

Nobody had it yesterday morning, but I discovered that was because, although launch day was the 1st, it was only shipped the 1st.

Go figure. Found one on lunch break at a Gamestop. Woot.

the best buy near my house had it exactly after 2 pm like they said. They had tons out yesterday. It may come down to the workers just not putting the games out and waiting for the following day

in the futureshop i went to they had none around opening (same with EB Games and a small gaming store, both saying it would be in later in the afternoon) and when i went in around 1230ish the guy had told me that they just received the order 10 minutes ago. so we were waiting for the mail on this one

The hype is totally gone, or everyone in Edmonton must have a Wii. I've seen places with Wii stock quite frequently now.

zelda PH battle mode looks all kinds of awesome, we should setup a big brawl at some time.
