Similar in concept to Konami's Beatmania series, Skillz has players spinning the night away with a special turntable controller. However, it appears that, unlike Beatmania, players will actually be able to create and mix their own music instead of playing along with pre-determined beats and patterns.

In all, the title is said to offer a single player mode, a two player battle, a freestyle mode, and some type of online functionality that will allow players to share their mixes.

Skillz is expected to hit PC and consoles in late 2008, though Playpen declined to name any specific consoles in its announcement.
