This looks like another busy and exciting week. TF2 Shack vs. Valve, Halo 3 and plenty more. Then again, maybe I should shut up, because I'll be writing that for the next 3 months.

TF2 is still fun OK?

the major issue I have with sudden death is that it seems to be awesome if you are certain classes but horrible for others. I've been a spy during sudden death and it's mostly useless because since there's no respawining people will just shoot whoever they are suspicious of when in a normal round they'd be more worried about map objectives. likewise if you're a pyro you aren't very effective at long range so the second you're in view you have to watch for random projectiles being fired at you.
but then if you're a demoman or a soldier or a heavy you can pretty much just spam away and you'll do awesome. it just kind of takes the balance of the game and throws it out the window for this weird random deathmatch... they should just reset the clock or I don't even fucking know but god it's just bad :( -

I don't think any particular class should be nerfed, I think the Pyro should be buffed a bit. I don't know how many times I've seen enemies inside the flames coming out of the flamethrower and yet not catching on fire. Also, I think the Soldier's rockets could be a little faster, but not a whole lot.

I did have a time tonight that I thought was a "tricky" situation - all but one of the members of my team died to a group of 2 heavies and 2 medics, but the last person on my team was a scout, who waited until the battle was full force (before the opposing team started capturing the control point) and ran off to the enemies territory to capture the final 2 control points, locking down the "contested" control point and screwing over the heavies/medics. it was sweet revenge, but seemed "cheap" given that they had originally captured 3/5 control points and lost all in sudden death.

My only problem with that is that it gives no incentive to actually try winning if you know you'll be going into sudden death because the momentum changes so radically. Most of the time winning Sudden Death requires a vastly different strategy than the team was using just before. I don't know how many times I've tried to coordinate a better survivability combination of classes for SD.

Yes, but I prefer to play on pubs than on the shack servers. Pubs tend to occasionally even things up. The shack servers play like 8 year olds on the sportsmanship thing. More interested in winning than having a good time or things being remotely fair. Auto team balance isn't fast enough. But yeah awesome game! Don't get to play it as much as I'd like though.

IAWTP, and even though I hate playing as medic (see my earlier post about my stupid mouse) I'll do it if no one else is.
I can see why though- once you spawn as heavy or medic, people just assume "oh, so and so is going to be the heavy/medic now, great!" Then you're stuck. With the other classes you can switch around more. -
I played Medic a ton last night. I think its great. Something I can grasp. Also gives me a chance to follow someone that knows where the fuck they're going, so I can learn the map somewhat. Atleast I got props somewhat.
Was called a retard when I tried out demoman and blew up my stickies a few seconds too early on an invulnerability duo that came to the control point in the final seconds of a match. That is not so fun.
