TF2 is fun thread!
Favourite moment so far, running straight ahead all of a sudden i stop. Strafe right, still can't move forward, strafe left, no go. Thinking wtf, there's an invisble barrier, i shoot ahead and a dead spy goes flying. Apparently we had done the sidewalk shuffle while he was cloaked.-

Seriously they need to fix the spy on servers without friendly fire (though I doubt I keep playing on non-FF servers for much longer, I've never been one for newbtastic settings).
At the very least make it so that there is no visible difference from shooting a teammate to that of shooting an actual spy.

A few good (and somewhat obvious) things to look for:
Is he running into your base instead of away?
Is he idling in your base a bit?
Is he following someone around very intently?
Does he seem jumpy and erratic in friendly territory?
Do enemies not react to his presence?
Is he carrying a weapon other than his primary?
Is he running slower than the he should be (this only really applies to Scouts).
The main thing I'd advise is constant suspicion of everyone. If you see someone acting odd at all just pop a few shots into them; most Spies will usually freak out and then you can go in for the kill. Lastly, a lot of Spies are lazy and don't switch disguises that often, so if you find a Spy is disguised as a certain class, there's a very good chance he will continue to use that same disguise.-

I love that. To add , I've noticed that occasionally the supposed name and class of the person will not match up with the scoreboard one. Easy kill there. Also, keep in mind who is playing what on your team. If you see two Engineers running around, but there's only one on your scoreboard, you've got a Spy.

Just had a grait game on granary where my team (blue) was getting stomped the whole while, then we got into sudden death and I layed down a sentry in a central area and picked off like 3-4 reds as they ran by. Then the rest of my team (those that were left alive) picked off a bunch of others so then there were two of them and three of us. The three of us pushed forward and our HWG got juiced, but then my teammate and I were able to kill the killer. As we moved up, I heard an engineer call out "E-recting a dispenser!" so I knew where he was and I streamed around the corner to pound him. He ran the other way shooting, but then turned and ran right into my teammate who was a solider and poped him with a rocket. Then, victorious, the two of us got on the central platform where the capture point was and started dancing...
This game is tons of fun, I'm glad TF is popular to play again. I just wish it wouldn't crash so readily on my system! Anyone with the crash-on-scoreboard problem figure out how to fix it without running in a window? -
Stupid moment - I'm heavy weapons, maddog is medic. He has his uber charged. We need to assault blue's defense. 6 blue guys are right around the corner and I tell maddog to hit the uber. I go around the corner and he is still healing me, but not hitting his uber. I take out one guy and then the whole team turns on me. Any second that uber will hit and I will wipe these fucks off the face of the earth.
Right?
RIGHT?
Way to go maddog, learn to right click. -

Is there any way I can get a Shacknews Community invite? (No new subthread for this I believe.) I want in on all the upcoming TF2 Shackbattles - YOU KNOW YOU WANT ANOTHER MEDIC.
