Real Guitar Offered as Guitar Hero Controller

8
A company called Art Guitar has created a commercially available PlayStation 2 Guitar Hero controller made from a real Peavey guitar. The limited edition AG Riff Master Guitar Controller is now available for pre-order from the company for $399, though its website lacks any sort of pre-ordering function at the moment.

The Riff Master will feature paintings of rock bands like Guitar Hero mainstays KISS and other unannounced artists. The guitar sports a natural rosewood neck, with the plastic rainbow of Guitar Hero buttons embedded in the frets.

Though the axe has been stripped of its strings, the tuning pegs still work on the headstock to complement gamers' imaginary rock dreams with imaginary tuning capability. The strum bar, whammy bar, and other plastic guitar functionality have made the transition to the real guitar as well.

Probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

Yeah, for the cost of a console, you can get a peripheral that can only be used in "guitar" games...
It's not like a headset tracker device, massive joystick/throttle/control set, or even a steering wheel/pedals.
(although the steering wheel *is* useful only in driving games; but there's a helluva lot more of them than guitar games)
