ZDNet has a new article up taking a look once again at the ongoing battle between AMD and Intel. There is one especially interesting tidbit in there that caught my eye though. It looks like AMD is going to come through with that 1GHz promise real soon:

AMD, meanwhile, is privately telling PC makers to expect availability of 1GHz Athlon chips in 60 days.
