More Engine Bickering
Hopefully, this is the last update about all of this. Jason Hall updated his .plan twice proclaiming his innocence and that his ambiguous references to "some companies" didn't necessarily mean that he was talking about "some companies" and he doesn't appreciate "a company's" slanderous remarks. God. Here's a bit from the first update:
Again I apologize to them, and more so to the gamers out there. I can certainly see from the outside as to what all this looks like. Our industry is more grown up than this, so I'm stepping out of this "engine war". I'm ashamed that people may associate me with all this crazy behavior - and further, I know that there is nothing that I can really do to stop the continuation of a company's slanderous remarks about me personally, but I hope that they can at least see that I'm not going to participate. For those who don't know, this is the latest in a series of back-and-forth jabs between Epic and Monolith on whose engine is better and why. Why they're airing it in public is beyond me, but oh well, it's a slow day so here you go. If you want to read up on it more, there's some context here and here.
