Tabula Rasa's new look reminds me a lot of Ryzom.. Which is a good thing.
The blend of ecological alien-esque environments and characters with more traditionnal SF elements works really well.

I'm really impressed at the skill of their art crew. The character animations, modeling and texture work are all great. its not like theyre using a lot of high end rendering FX for it either....just good solid artwork.

oh, and the game is pretty damned fun as well.

What's the combat like? When reading about it I"m not sure if it sounds really different and fun, or like something that'll get old in 20 minutes.

A little bird told me it's fun but can get stale when solo grinding. Groups and instances make it much more fun.

Definitely a step in the right direction getting away from the old sammich combat so common.
