Boxed Up Briefs

Good lord, I saw some great stuff this week that I can't discuss yet. I know that's a fairly worthless thing to say, but considering all I've done for the last several days is travel--the airport security guys recognize me now, which is slightly depressing--I don't have much else to say.

Enjoy your news bits!

Seems like a rip to me. What other quality air combat games are there for the 360? I can't think of any. This trend of buying peripherals that are really only used in one or two games is quite silly imo.

except for the fact that the guitar hero series is really, really fun.

since it's usb there will probably be pc drivers eventually.
lots of flight sims and such there if the 360 doesn't get a lot.

I think all first party 360 peripherals are required to have Windows support. I don't know about third party ones though.

well it's probably safe to bet some weirdo will make them if no official ones are released. :P

i think even the 360 gamepad had some homebrew drivers before MS released the official ones. i know the regular xbox did, but you had to modify the cable yourself for usb.

maybe the developer doesnt have many choices in the current peripheral market and has to create their own ?

If that flight stick has official windows support I might buy that game it's included with, and I don't even own a 360.

I'm looking to offload mine (controller + game, of course), if you want it. I couldn't justify giving it away, given the original price tag, but I could sell it cheap to a Shacker. Shipping would be a bitch, though.

How on earth can you have a game that isn't coming out until this fall?

I think someone did hack drivers for it and used it in MW4, but I never tried 'em.

WTF? I know people still cream themselves over MW2, but MW4: Mercenaries was my favorite iteration to date.

I couldn't stand MW4 it seemed a FPS in robots. It didn't provide the feeling of walking around in a 60 ton metal monster. MW3 will always be my favorite with MW2 a close second.
