World in Conflict: Still awesome. I really wish the NDA allowed screenshots/video.
I know some people are having trouble figuring out the game still, feel free to ask questions.-

From the beta forums:
"Open the registry editor (Start->Run->regedit) and move to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\ key. On the right side are all drive letters listed. It seems that one was duplicated by an emulation tool. If you delete the duplicate entry, then it should work again.
If the problem persists, please delete all REG_BINARY entries of this key (all blue ones on the right side). Afterwards reboot the machine and then the game should work again."

Game feels way too much like really shallow musical chairs. The "classes" are all just hard counters of each other, and they play way too differently. People who play infantry have a ton of shit to manage--like micromanagement hell from Starcraft. People who play helicopters might as well be playing Diablo. Just move your little block of helicopters around and die.
The lack of environmental interactivity is another huge disappointment. Capturing territory does little more than give you "points." There's little tactical incentive to capture one territory over another.
Another complaint: for all the talk of the game trying to eliminate the see-saw effect of RTS games (where one player advances early and the others are left in the dust), the reward system does just that. The people who are being effective and winning are constantly rewarded with more points that allow them to buy weapons to continue winning.
Ugh, what can I say, I don't think it's a very good game :( -

I just move my MLRS between a few spots after it finishes. Usually moves our of the way fast enough before the first counter battery fire comes in.
It would be nice if there was an easier way to detect incoming soviet ARTY. There is Counter-Battery Radar the Army uses, stuff like that should be in the game.
