Radeon HD 2900 XT Released
AMD is releasing its new Radeon flagship product today, the HD 2900 XT videocard. Only one thing is important, can it beat NVidia's GeForce 8800? Apparently not. You can find reviews at Tech Report, HardOCP, Overclockers Club, Hexus, Altgamer.org, Driver Heaven, Bjorn3D and HotHardware.

If it was $50 cheaper and didn't have massive power requirements, I would consider it.

That's because they are not all benchmarking the same way. HardOCP's numbers seem more interesting to me since they basically compare the best possible settings on each card. It's much easier to distinguish between them that way. After all, I want to know what card is best for the max settings that I use.

I like it too. They give you apples to apples as well but like Kyle says, there are already 20 other sites trying to bench that way so why not do something different. HardOCP trys out the toys and plays with the settings to show you which is best and what has to give up what to compete.
I find it interesting that HardOCP was the only one that mentioned the new filters being blurry. Did noone else test them?-
H's reviews are nice, cause they TELL YOU whether or not it sucks. It's not just a bunch of freakin' graphs and numbers. I off today, don't make me look @ poorly done graphs.
I'm surprised more people don't find it convenient. They do the work for you. Now one knows what they can roughly hit for IQ @ a given GPU.
