Age of Conan Impressions

GameSpy and GameZone are the latest sites with Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures impressions, offering their take on Funcom's upcoming MMORPG. Meanwhile the official site takes a look at GDC and preparations for the event.

It makes me sad this game is getting so little shacklove, hopefully it's not fallout from those dreadful dx9 screenies.

  i'll be happy if AoC is a quality RP game with a small, stable and dedicated playerbase that's interested in Gameplay rather than graphics. i suspect most of the Shacknoid luv will be directed at Warhammer Online.

    warhammer is a proven IP in video games ..Conan is not
    
    most people associated these types of games with high fantasy: elves, dwarves, orcs etc ..Conan thankfully has none of that which could play well with those tired of cutsey gnomes and furry little elves etc ...Warhammer is a little too high fantasy for my tastes as is the majority of fantasy MMOs

  The shack is fickle and whiny. I'm really looking forward to this game since it seems to actually take some risks out of a happy-fantasy land RPG.
