Battlefield 2142 players will be happy to know that that the Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike booster pack is now available. The $9.99 EA Link download includes new vehicles, three new maps and the Conquest Assault game mode among other features and content.

The other day I was looking at the BF 1942 expansion packs (never played 1942) and they seemed to be more maps, more weapons, and more vehicles. And they cost, what, $30?
If the BF2/2142 booster packs give you more weapons, more vehicles, more maps, and more unlocks for $10, isn't that a better price for the same? Obviously it's not ideal like Valve giving us new game modes and maps for free, but...
